Ban Chang Bars-The Camel Ban Chang

The Camel Pub and Restaurant in Ban Chang was the first hostelry to open on the now famous " Ban Chang strip" in Ban Chang (more than 12 years ago).

It has been extensively renovated and extended to what is now arguably the largest bar in the area, also offering sixteen well appointed rooms for rent on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

We are situated at the west end of the street and are the first place (and hopefully the last!) that you encounter on your voyage down the ‘strip’ There were almost thirty watering holes open on my last count

Come in to the Camel and enjoy some of the finest British, American and Italian (including home made Pizza) and Thai food on the Eastern Seaboard. Our kitchen is open from around 7am till 11pm, seven days per week.
We also offer the largest range of Imported Draught beers in the area as well as a great list of Imported and Domestic beers, spirits, ciders and wines for you enjoyment.

We have several state of the art televisions and show all international sporting events, including Football, Rugby, Cricket, Motor Sports, Aussie Rules and even synchronized swimming etc.

There are also two pool tables and a dart board for the more discerning gents.

Ban Chang being located close to several quality golf courses provides a hackers dream
locale for a spot of relaxation.

We can provide transport from Pattaya or surrounding areas, in certain instances free if you stay overnight. Packages are available.

enjoyed my stay at the camel the food is excellent full five stars top marks to the cook.

only one star for the rooms though but i would not say dont stay there only my veiw. balconys dirty fridge not cleaned, poor showers, stairs to the rooms need a good clean, but still enjoyed.

i will be coming back in a few weeks for the great food.

thanks to the staff also for being good but big big thanks to the great chef

Best pub on the strip

As a long time resident of Ban Chang, I made the camel 'my local'. Great sports coverage, service at the bar is good and some very nice 'locals' too. I'd recommend the place to anyone.

I stayed at the Camel Pub in July 2010 for 2 nights as I was working locally and found everything to be excellent. The room was very comfortable, hot water, very clean, good internet. The food was great, the staff very friendly and I met some really nice people there too. I shall be returning in May this year for another couple of nights.

stick with the Camel

after spending the evening in the offshore last night i can confirm that in future i will be spending more time in the Camel, and kicking the offshore in to touch. some very smart ladies in the offshore who are very good at getting you to part with your money. once bitten twice shy for me as regards the offshore. stick with the Camel fellas i am in the future.
